Digital vs Analog. What's the Difference? Why Does it Matter?
Digital describes data which is stored or transmitted as a sequence of discrete symbols (or numerical values) from a finite set. The opposite of digital is analog.
In computing, this commonly refers to binary data represented by electronic or electromagnetic signals.[1]
