Disk Copy is a backup utility application that was included with classic Mac OS and early Mac OS X.

Features

Disk Copy had the ability to create and mount disk images. This functionality was integrated into Disk Utility in Mac OS X 10.3 and later. Apple Software Restore is also included with macOS as a command line utility.

History

Disk Copy was first included with System 1.1 and 2. Disk Copy 4.2 was included with System 6. Versions 6.0 through 6.3.3 were included with System 7 through Mac OS 9.2.2.

Internal releases of Disk Copy 6.4 and a beta of 6.5b13 were released for Mac OS 9.1 though 10.2.
