Facebook integration is a social networking feature that was announced on June 11 at the 2012 Worldwide Developers Conference.[1] This feature was introduced on September 19, 2012 for iOS 6 and Mac OS X 10.8.2 (Mountain Lion) and is not supported by earlier operating systems.[2]
Usage
Taking advantage of features integrated with Facebook, such as sharing pages, first requires registration and logging in. It also allows users to share pages on Facebook through Siri.
Removal by Apple
Privacy concerns led Apple to remove Facebook integration from iOS 11 in 2017, and macOS Mojave (10.14) in 2018.[3][4]
