Apple in Ireland

Apple Computer established operations in Cork in 1980 and employed about 6,000 people in the area as of 2022.[2] The successor company, Apple Inc., does not directly operate any physical retail stores in Ireland and distributes its products online and through premium resellers, such as Spectra Photo back in the 1980s.[3] However, Apple has been known for taking advantage of Ireland's unique tax laws to reduce its tax burden on its profits within the European Union.[4]
