MacJanitor is a freeware utility created by Brian Hill for use with Mac OS X.
Description
For Macs that are regularly shut off and not left running overnight, MacJanitor provides a GUI to schedule cron jobs, which can be run at a time convenient to the user for maintenance tasks, such as clearing scratch files and compressing log files.[1] Apple has since created launchd as a preferred method for scheduling such tasks.[2]
