Icon of the RoomPlan API
RoomPlan is a Swift-based API that is powered by the ARKit framework and uses the camera and LiDAR sensor on supported iPhones and iPads to scan indoor rooms and create 3D floor plans. In addition to capturing the floor plan of the room, it can also capture key elements of it, such as the dimensions of the room, and furniture in it.[1]
Development history
Apple RoomPlan API — WWDC 2022
A developer beta of RoomPlan was first introduced as part of ARKit 6 for iOS 16 on June 6 at the 2022 Worldwide Developers Conference.[2]
