History

Screen Time was introduced as a new feature of iOS 12 and macOS Catalina, replacing Restrictions in iOS and Parental Controls in macOS. Like its predecessors, it can be used to block adult websites and explicit media. Screen Time displays the amount of time spent on apps and websites in Safari, and it also monitors website categories. It also supports time limits, to deter iPad addictions in children. Use of a 4-digit passcode can be optionally enabled.[1][2]
