System Update 3.0 is an extension-based patch released Apple Computer in May 1994 for all versions of System 7.1.x. The update file can be placed loose in the System Folder. Its functions were merged into System 7.5, making it unnecessary for that version of the system software.[1]

Improvements

Aside from incorporating all improvements and ehancements from Hardware System Update 1.0 and 2.0.1, the update fixed odd crashes, especially a crash that would occur if more than 20 disks appeared on the Desktop.
