Timothy John Millet (born April 1967) is the vice president of platform architecture at Apple Inc. He has appeared aside senior VP Johny Srouji during introductions of new Apple processors, and has sometimes handled new introductions when Srouji was unavailable.[1][2][3] Millet holds over 60 patents as of 2020.[4]

Education

Millet attended Stanford University in the 1980s.[5]

Career

Millet worked as a systems engineer in ASIC design at MTS Systems while it was a subsidiary of Digital Equipment Corporation from 1989 to 1992, when he became the principal engineer of Silicon Graphics. In 1999, Millet became the principal architect at CoSine Communications, and then became the principal engineer of Brocade Communications Systems in 2002.[5]

Apple

Millet joined Apple Computer as a platform architect in 2005 and became a DEST (Distinguished Engineer, Scientist or Technologist) in 2011. He was promoted to senior director of platform architecture in 2013 and became vice president of platform architecture in August 2015.[5]
