Apple Inc. is investing in augmented reality with the release of recent mobile devices with sufficient CPU capabilities and/or TrueDepth cameras, to calculate depth along with visual data. Developers have been supplied with ARKit and RealityKit framework APIs to facilitate the development of AR apps.

Supported devices

iOS 11 and an Apple A9 or later processor is required:

• IPad (5th generation) or later
• IPad Air (3rd generation) or later
• IPad mini (5th generation) or later
• iPad Pro (all models)
• iPhone 6s or later
• IPod touch (7th generation) or later
